Wooden Boat Festival, 2009. I played selections from all 3 of my CDs as well as some new music I have been working on.
I have been in the recording studio again lately, recording selections for a New Upcoming CD (and Digital Downloads) due out later 2010.
My performance at the Manresa Castle on Saturday, April 18, 2009 was graced by the presence and superb jazz piano playing of Barney McClure, who some of you will remember was also the mayor of Port Townsend back in the 80's, and State representative! What a treat to be able to play with such a jazz genius! Barney lives in Fairbanks, Alaska now with his wife. He plays in a club there on Fridays and Saturdays, and still teaches. He is otherwise, somewhat retired at age 70 now...but still going strong. Barney was here for his daughter's wedding that night. Maybe he'll move back to the Pacific Northwest and grace us, once again with his playing. Barney McClure is still one of the most creative jazz pianists (Barney is also a great Hammond B3 jazz organist as well - although he played the grand piano at the Manresa Castle with me on Saturday night) I've ever heard or had the pleasure of playing with. Take a few moments at his web site: Barney McClure
